About this event
As part of PrideTT's Close-Up Film Festival, we'll be working in collaboration with Africa Film Trinidad and Tobago to bring you the following films:
- When his family tries to kill him, Sidney, who is intersex, flees to Nairobi, where he meets a group of transgender friends.
- A film by Tristan Aitchison
I Am Sheriff (2017) which will be shown all day
- “I am Sheriff” follows a young man as he travels the mountain kingdom of Lesotho showing his film in remote villages, schools and communities. Sheriff was born with a girl's body, but as the grandmother in his film recounts, he refused to wear dresses and always wanted to play with the boys.
