PrideTT is excited to be a part of the first annual Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Conference.

Diversity as an Asset for Investmen

With support from international missions, and the private sector, PrideTT is excited to be a part of the first annual Diversity, Equity,and Inclusion (DEI) Conference-“Diversity as an Asset for Investment”. The conference will be held on May 17th, the International Day Against Homo, Bi, and Trans Phobia (IDAHOBIT). The DEI Conference is being supported by the Missions of Australia, Canada, EU Delegation, USA, and UK, along with several leading private sector companies in T&T. The target audience is the executive suite of T&T’s corporate organisations. EY (Global & Trinidad) will be facilitating a workshop on DEI policy development in the workplace, as it is considered a main component of the "Social" pillar in the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) framework that corporations and governments across the globe are now aligning themselves with.

DEI programming has become an important tool in modern business, ensuring policy is enhanced to create a workplace environment that welcomes all, and drives collaboration and productivity. DEI policies ensure the protection of businesses, its employees and opens employers up to new possibilities for engaging its work force. This event expects to meet the following objectives:

  • Facilitating wider private sector involvement in the DEI field
  • Platforming the work being done in the local community towards DEI
  • Bridging the gap between public and private sectors’ DEI policy
  • Sharing of global and local experiences and perspectives on DEI
  • Enhancing knowledge and resourceson DEI policy and implementation
